Nearly a week after Volvo Innovation Summit, we were still reflecting on the conversations with customers, shippers and strategic industry partners. We presented a portfolio of propulsion solutions: Euro VI engines with lower fuel consumption than Euro V; LNG and bio-LNG for demanding applications, including mining at altitude; electric trucks already operating internationally; and hydrogen technologies under development.
We also discussed safety tools relevant to Chile: Dynamic Steering with stability assistance, Safety Zones that can regulate speed in critical areas, Front Short Range Assist for vulnerable road users, Pilot Assist, camera-based visibility systems and active side-collision support. Volvo Financial Services outlined financing and leasing models that could help customers adopt new technology with cost visibility and flexibility.
What mattered most was bringing together customers, authorities, mining operators and partners in one conversation. For Volvo, productivity today and zero emissions tomorrow were commitments that had to be connected with industry, safety and society's prosperity.
